DIVISIONS & FEES

OCASL@TASL plays four seasons per year, 10 games per season:

  •    Spring season runs March through May.
  •    Summer season runs June through August.
  •    Fall season runs September through mid-November.
  •    Winter season runs December through February.
NCASA State Fees

OCASL@TASL is an affiliated league under North Carolina Adult Soccer Association.  The $30 NCASA state fee is paid once per year and is good for league play and tournaments through the end of each calendar year.  If you play in both OCASL and TASL, the fee is only paid once!

Divisions of Play & League Fees

Open Recreation Divisions:  $115 league fee 

  • 11 vs 11, 45 min halves, Saturday games
  • Cedar Falls, Twin Lakes, Herndon Park, Old Chapel Hill Road

COED Recreation Division:  $115 league fee 

  • 11 vs 11, 45 min halves, Saturday games
  • Cedar Falls, Twin Lakes, Herndon Park, Old Chapel Hill Road

Over 50 Division: (O50 men/O40 women) - $105 league fee

  • 8 vs 8, 40 min halves, Thursday nights
  • Cedar Falls (2 small fields), Homestead 

Over 40 Anderson Division:  (O40 men/O30 women) - $105 league fee

  • 8 vs 8, 40 min halves, Tuesday nights
  • Cedar Falls (2 small fields), Homestead 

Over 30 Division:   $105 league fee

  • 8 vs 8, 40 min halves, Wednesday nights
  • Cedar Falls (2 small fields), Homestead 

Over 50 Pickup Nights:  $85 league fee  Register for the team "Closer to 70 than 80"

  • Ten Mondays and ten Thursdays
  • Cedar Falls, Homestead Park
  • Players are asked to bring a white and dark shirt.

All players must be at least 18 years of age to participate.  Players must have the Team Captain's permission to join a team.

Every effort will be made to play all games, but they are not guaranteed. Alternate game days may be required!

IMPORTANT DATES

Spring season is set to begin on March 7th!

  • February 20 - Teams need 12 paid players on roster to be included in the schedule.

  • March 7 - Coed and Recreation season begins

  • March 10 - Anderson Over 40 games begin

  • March 11 - Over 30 games begin

  • March 30 - April 5 - No games 

  • May 23 - 25 - No games

  • May 26 - May 30 - Makeup days

 
INFORMATION

We have great news!  In the Spring we will open a new Over 50 division playing on Thursday nights at 9 pm.  The rules will be the same as the over 40 division.  Register for the Men Over 50 (8 vs 8) "FIFTY LEGENDS".  If you want to be a captain, email us!  Once we have the players registered, the league and captains will meet to form teams with the intent to create balanced competition.  We hope to bring players back into the league who stopped playing Over 40 but would like the chance to play again.

NEW players will need to create a TeamPass User ID & Password the first time that you register in this system!

Returning players should be recognized by TeamPass.  Contact us if the system does not recognize you!

GUEST PLAYERS

GUEST PLAYERS

A guest is a player that is not rostered to the team that they will be playing with.  

A guest must have the captain's permission to play with the team.  Teams must have a minimum number of rostered players before they can add a guest player.  See Rules for details.

Guests MUST register BEFORE they step on the field and must appear on the team's Game Day Roster.

Players that are not registered to the league and wish to "tryout" for a team, may register by paying the NCASA state fee and may play one time with the team while deciding to join.

Players that are currently registered to the league and wish to play with another team will pay a $10 per game guest player fee.

Guest players are limited to 3 games per team per season.

 

TO REGISTER AS A GUEST PLAYER:

  • Go to the Schedules page:  Teampass
  • Find the date of the game, then click on the name of the Team that you will be playing with.
  • The team's schedule will be shown  if you scroll down the page. 
  • Click on the "register guest player box" to register for the specific game date.

LOOKING FOR A TEAM???

Players without a team are not guaranteed placement but we will make every effort to find a team for you!

No fees are required until you agree to join a team. 

Team Captains go to the Free Agent list to find additional players.  The sooner you register, the better your chances are to find a team!

Players should register for each division of play that you would consider playing in.

We are currently registering for the SPRING season.

RULES

RULES OF PLAY
  • 8 vs 8 team rosters must have a minimum of 12 players. 
  • 11 vs 11 team rosters must have a minimum of 21 players.
  • Players must wear shin guards at all games.
  • All players must be 18 years of age and must appear on the Roster in order to step on the field to play.
  • Team Captains must provide the official a printed Game Day Roster prior to the start of each game.
  • Players should have proof of identification at the field to present to the official if there are questions.
