IMPORTANT DATES
  • All teams need 12 paid players on roster by MAY 15th in order to be included in the schedule.
  • Players must be registered by MAY 15th to be guaranteed a tee shirt for the first game.

There is an exciting event this summer!  WORLD CUP!! 

We will tweak the summer schedule and extend the season through July so you will have some nights off for World Cup viewing!

     SH 2026 REGISTRATION OPENING SOON!

Summer Heat format for small sided games is 8 VS 8. Teams generally play twice a week. We offer once a week divisions of play for Coed Rec (Monday), Women (Tuesday), Men Over 50 (Wednesday) and Men's 11v11 (Tue or Th).

DIVISIONS & FEES

Player registration includes a Summer Heat Tee Shirt!

NCASA STATE FEES:

All players are required to pay the $30 NCASA state fee once per calendar year with their first player registration of the year.  The annual state fee is good for league play and tournaments through December 31st of the calendar year.

TASL LEAGUE FEES (does not include NCASA state fee):

      WOMEN:  8 v.8 format, games once a week on Tuesday, $70 - Individual players may sign up for the team "LADY LEGENDS "

      MENS 1, 2 & 3; MEN OVER 30:  8 vs. 8 fomat, twice a week on Tuesday & Thursday, $105

      MENS OPEN 11v11 (A&B):  11 vs. 11 format, once per week on either a Tuesday or a Thursday, $95

      MEN OVER 50:  8 vs 8 format, games once a week on Wednesday, $70

      Over 56 Pickup:  pick-up format, 90 minutes, once per week on Wednesday, select the team "The Nifty Fifty Sixes!",  $75

      COED 1, 2, 3, 4, 5:  8 vs. 8 format, twice a week on Monday & Wednesday, $105

      COED REC:  8 vs. 8 format, games once a week on Monday$70 - Sign up for the team "Just Wanna Have Fun!"

   

"1" is the most advanced level for the more serious competitors; "2" and "3" are intermediate level for those in between; "4" and "5" are the lower levels for those that just want to play and have fun.

 

General Information: 

All players must be at least 18 years of age to participate.  No exceptions!

Players must have the Captain's permission to join a team, except for the Coed Recreation team - Just Wanna Have Fun and Women's Lady Legends.

Alternate game days may occasionally be required.

FREE AGENTS!
NEED A TEAM?

REGISTER AS A FREE AGENT! 

Players without a team are not guaranteed placement but we will make every effort to find a team for you!

No fees are required until you agree to join a team. 

Team Captains go to the Free Agent list to find additional players.  The sooner you register, the better your chances are to find a team!

Players should register for each division of play that you would consider playing in.

We are currently registering for the Summer Heat 2026 season.

New players will need to create a Username & Password.

Returning players from 2023-2026 should be recognized and should not create a new account. You should be able to select your name from the Choose Existing Player drop down.

GUEST PLAYERS

GUEST PLAYER REGISTRATION

Teams must have 12 paid players before they are allowed to add a Guest Player.

Tee shirts are not provided for Guest Players. Captains should ask guest players to bring a similar color tee shirt to wear.

  • GUEST PLAYERS: Players must be invited by a captain to play on a specific game day.
  • The Guest Player must register for each date (game) they will play by 4PM or sooner so the captain can print the roster before game time. 
  • Guest players must show on the roster in order to play on the field!
  • The $30 NCASA fee is only charged once per calendar year.
  • Game day fees are $10 per game.

TO REGISTER AS A GUEST PLAYER

  • Go to the player registration page:  
  • Click on VIEW SCHEDULES Box on the bottom, underneath the Player and Coach Signup.
  • Find the date of the game, then click on the name of the Team that you will be playing with.
  • The team's schedule will be shown.  
  • Click on the "register guest player box" to register for the specific game date.

 

 

 

 

RULES

SUMMER HEAT RULES OF PLAY

  • All TASL Summer Heat league players must be at least 18 years of age to participate.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • The standard game format is 8 vs. 8 (7 players plus a goalkeeper).
  • Coed teams must have two (2) females on the field at all times (see exceptions below).
  • Minimum of 5 players to start a game.  Four or less players is a forfeit.  No female players on a coed team is a forfeit.
  • Team rosters must have a minimum of 12 players.
  • It is mandatory for players to wear shin guards at all games.
  • There is only one official for summer heat games (except for 11 aside matches) and the fee is paid by TASL.
  • Team Captains must provide the official a TASL Game Day Roster prior to the start of the game.
  • There are no make-ups or rain dates in Summer Heat.
  • ALL players must have proof of identification at the field to present to the official in case there is an issue.

Standard FIFA Laws of the Game are enforced with these exceptions

NO SLIDE TACKLING allowed in any division. A mandatory caution (yellow card as a minimum) is required for any infraction. Multiple infractions will result in additional sanctions.

No offside in 8 vs 8 format.

A team is a “forfeit” if it cannot field five (5) players five minutes after the scheduled start time.

The play from the Goalkeeper's hand – punt, parry, throw, or drop-kick, must touch the ground or a player prior to crossing the half-field line. An indirect free kick is awarded at the half line for any infraction.  Does not apply to 11 vs 11 play.

If a goalkeeper receives a pass with their feet, they are considered a field player and MAY play the ball over half field.

Goal kicks can be taken from anywhere within the penalty area but must touch either the ground or a player prior to crossing the half-field line. An indirect free kick is awarded at the half.  Does not apply to 11 vs 11 play.

The match length for 8 vs. 8 will be two twenty-five minute halves with a five-minute interval.

COED LEAGUE RULES: A minimum of two (2) women & a maximum of six (6) men comprise a team. If there is only one (1) female on the field, the team must play with seven (7) players (1 woman and 6 men). If there are no female players in the play at any time, then the game is a forfeit.

Rule Clarifications

ALL goals are worth one point regardless of gender or age.

Yes, a Penalty Kick may be awarded and are allowed to be called by the referee.

Yes, a Direct Kick may be called.

Yes, there are Throw-Ins.

Yes, yellow and red cards will be issued to players when required.  Red cards result in loss of games!

No off-sides in 8 vs. 8 format. 

No free substitution – FIFA Rules apply.

Goal kick distribution must stay within the half-field for 8 vs 8 play.
