MOVING ON.....!!!

Many of you remember the day when captains had to bring a paper roster and player passes for the referee before each game.  Then we advanced to using picture rosters, and everyone was thrilled! Now, it’s time to take it to the next level and make the captain's job easier.

Please read these instructions and practice in advance.

These instructions apply to team administrators that have been approved for your team and that show on your roster as team staff.

This will not work for players (due to security reasons).

TASL will allow the use of TeamPass electronic rosters -- provided the following requirements are met.

Teams may continue to use a printed roster if you cannot meet the requirements for electronic rosters.

PRINTED ROSTERS

  • Printed rosters are preferred to be color, but a black and white copy is acceptable.
  • Printed rosters must include guests and VIP players.
  • Jersey numbers must be either printed on the roster or handwritten for each player before it is given to the referee.

ELECTRONIC ROSTERS

For those captains that are tired of printing, you will now be able to produce an electronic roster for the referee prior to the game.

Electronic roster requirements are simple: Jersey numbers must be in the TeamPass system for each player.

ADDING JERSEY NUMBERS

We know that guest players are often added at the last minute, and there is a way to manage entering their jersey number at the field.  We know that some teams give out jerseys each week and the jersey number changes week to week, and there is a way to manage that.

There are two (2) ways to add jersey numbers to your roster.  Select the method that works best for your team.

  1.  For the teams that assign jersey numbers that don’t change:
    • Go to your Active Roster list of players.
    • Click on the “pencil” Edit Box under the player’s name.
    • An Edit Player box will appear.
    • Add the Jersey Number.
    • Click Save.

This process will tie that jersey number to the player and it will show on all rosters, and you only have to enter it one time.

  1. For the teams where a player’s jersey number changes each week or a guest player adds later, use the Match Center, which is available 40 hours before a game start time:
  • Go to the Schedule and find your game.
  • Click on the “Match Center” oval button.
  • Enter your player’s jersey number in the rectangle box.
  • Click the UPDATE button.

This process will provide the jersey number for that specific game only.  The numbers you enter this way will disappear after the game is played.

TO PROVIDE AN ELECTRONIC ROSTER TO THE OFFICIAL AT THE FIELD

NOTE - the official must have created a TeamPass account at TeamPass and have been approved by TASL admin.

Captains must be a team administrator for the team and must be logged into the TeamPass system on your mobile device.

  • Click on Schedule and find your game.
  • Click on the “Match Center” oval button.
  • Enter any missing jersey numbers and click Update.
  • Scroll down to find the QR CODE.
  • Allow the referee to scan the QR Code.
  • Note - There is one QR Code in the Match Center which provides the referee with both team rosters.

If you or your team staff are not going to be at the game, and you provide a player with a printed roster, there is a QR Code on the printed roster that the referee can scan.

The referee will refuse an electronic roster if the jersey numbers are not listed for your players.

We encourage you to have a printed roster on hand in case of emergencies such as no power for your mobile device.
